EUROLAB ROMANIA is a professional, independent, nongovernmental and nonprofit association, without political influences, constituted of accredited (or in accreditation process) testing laboratories as well as interested parties or which are implied in testing accreditation activity. This association was founded in compliance with the regulations of OG 26/2000, Romanian law regarding the associations and foundations. The Foundation Assembly of EUROLAB ROMANIA took place in June 17th, 2002. At this meeting participated Prof Dr. Bernd Steffen, in behalf of Prof. Horst Czichos, president of EUROLAB aisbl in that period. EUROLAB ROMANIA is a full member of Romanian Accreditation Association – RENAR, in the A College, The College of accredited bodies in accordance with the decision of General Assembly of RENAR from 10.03.2005. The National Members Meeting of EUROLAB aisbl, from October 26th, 2004, at Bratislava decided that EUROLAB ROMANIA was accepted as an Affiliated Member of EUROLAB aisbl. In conformity with the Statute of the Association, Art.11 the members in fact are: Juridical persons or juridical entities which: a) Are officially applying to become a member of the Association; b) Represent an accredited (or in accreditation process) laboratory (laboratories) by RENAR or another Accreditation Body which is signatory of MLA; c) Are paying the member fees in due time; d) Know and respect the Statute of the Association; e) Participate actively at the Association events. The basic goal of the Association is a scientifically one. The main objectives of the Association are: a) Coordinating the relationships with all the European bodies which are acting in the laboratories field, in order to avoid the duplication of the efforts and of the activities; b) Promoting and contributing at the creation of an adequate national mentality and culture regarding the accreditation of the laboratories of the economical and professional organizations or of the state authorities; c) Assuring a debate frame for specialists, organizations and authorities regarding the testing, analysis and calibrations from the testing laboratories, which are our members. The goal of this frame is to identify major tendencies and necessities, to give solutions – including legislative initiatives – and to assure the dispatching of them to all interested or implied parties; d) Realizing a common pole for analyzing and performance regarding the interests of accredited laboratories and representing its members in different bodies and national, regional and international organizations and also representing its members during some appropriate events ; Through achievement of its goal and objectives, The Association contributes at the consolidation and development of the laboratories and at the promotion and researching regarding the laboratory testing as it follows: 1. Organizing specialized conferences, seminars, trainings; 2. Issuing publications regarding the testing activity; 3. Creating and updating a database for the members of the Association, including publishing and dispatching publications, specialized books in conformity with the copyright law; 4. Performing an exchange of experience between laboratories in the technical field and quality management system; 5. Organizing some testing, analysis and calibrations programs for capability or comparisons with participation of accredited laboratories or in process of accreditation laboratories, members of the Association; 6. Attending to auctions to get into some internal or international programs and projects; 7. Formulating and communicating the opinion of the laboratories regarding some political or technical issues, which have impact on their activity; 8. Promoting and contributing at the creation of an adequate national mentality and culture regarding the accreditation of the laboratories of the economical and professional organizations or of the state authorities; 9. Providing consultancy and technical assistance between the accredited laboratories, members of the Association. 10. Performing mutual internal audits in order to improve the quality system and to verify the activities of the laboratories, members of the Association. |
